Our story
We love this too much to stop.
Greater Star was founded by Carl-Johan Beckman and Hampus Wik – the team that built Awave into one of Scandinavia’s most awarded digital agencies, with 70 employees, almost SEK 70 million in revenue and operations in three countries.
After many years together and a well-deserved break from the industry, we realised one thing: we love this too much to stop. Greater Star was born from pure joy, deep experience and a will to do things even better – with strong client relationships and efficient delivery at the core of everything we do.
With 20+ years of experience, hundreds of delivered projects and award-winning team DNA, we combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. We have been through every phase of agency life – and we know what it takes to deliver results that matter.

Carl-Johan Beckman
Co-founder
Carl-Johan founded Awave in 2007 and built it into one of Scandinavia’s most awarded digital agencies over 15 years. Silver winner, Entrepreneur of the Year 2022. With deep expertise in digital strategy, business development and leadership, he now brings the same passion and precision to Greater Star.
Hampus Wik
Co-founder
Hampus joined in 2008 and was key to scaling the agency to 70 employees in three countries. With solid experience in technical architecture, project delivery and team building, he makes sure every Greater Star project is built for performance, scalability and long-term success.
