Platform

Node.js

Node.js lets you run JavaScript and TypeScript on the server, which means one language, one set of tools and shared types across the whole product. It is a strong fit for APIs, integrations, real-time features and serverless workloads, and it scales well when the architecture is right. We build Node backends with validated inputs, structured logging, sensible error handling and tests around the flows that matter — the parts that decide whether a service is dependable in production.

  • REST and GraphQL APIs in Node and TypeScript
  • Serverless and edge functions
  • Real-time features with WebSockets
  • Integrations: payments, CRM, ERP, e-mail, third-party APIs
  • Background jobs, queues and scheduled tasks
  • Postgres and database design with safe migrations
  • Authentication, authorisation and rate limiting
  • Structured logging, monitoring and alerting
  • Containerisation and deployment pipelines
  • Performance profiling and cost optimisation

Common questions

Node.js or PHP for our backend?

Both work well. Node is a natural choice when the frontend is already JavaScript, when you need real-time features or want to share types between client and server. PHP with Laravel is often faster to build for content-driven sites and classic web applications.

Can Node handle high load?

Yes. Node handles many concurrent connections efficiently. The limits usually come from database queries and blocking work, which is why we profile early, cache deliberately and move heavy jobs to queues.

Do you build serverless or with traditional servers?

Both, depending on traffic pattern, cost and preferred operating model. We recommend what is cheapest to run and easiest for your team to maintain, and document the choice.

How do you keep a Node backend maintainable?

With TypeScript, safe database migrations in Postgres, structured logging, monitoring and alerts, plus login, permissions and rate limiting from the start.
